The world is full of unusual places and mysterious things; More of them are discovered all the time. Simply take a look at the news. One of last year's most talked about discoveries happened when a big "hole" appeared out of nowhere in bumfuck, Siberia (the first popped up at the "end of the world," literally). Not long after, yet another hole popped up--sparking even more interest in dispatching scientists to not only explore, but to try to determine where they came from.
