This awesomely timed image shows the splendor of the Milky Way, as well as an intruding lightning bolt.
Taken somewhere in Malaysia by Justin Ng, this photograph is certainly a happy accident. There are several photographic effects present by the nature of the long exposure – one of the coolest (in my opinion) is the ghost-like appearance of the lightning bolt. With the impending thunderstorm, and the openness of this area, I hope Justin decided it was best to pack up and seek shelter shortly after capturing this magnificent picture.
