EA’s Star Wars Video Shows VR Experience with Gamers in the Cockpit of an X-Wing

If you blink, you might miss it. In a video released by Electronic Arts (EA) a developer can be seen wearing the headset from the upcoming Playstation VR system. The developer is sitting in front of a screen displaying the point of view of an X-Wing pilot in the cockpit of the iconic vessel.

EA is joining the frey of developing a virtual reality experience set in the Star Wars universe. In an article from The Verge, EA states that it is working, through subsidiaries DICE and Criterion, “on an exclusive Star Wars Battlefront VR mission for PlayStation VR this year.” While details are scarce, it does not look like this will be a full game in VR and no release date has been announced.

The Playstation VR is set to launch in October of 2016.
