About
At Futurism, I focus on the intersection of technology and power -- using economics, history, and policy as a set of tools to explore the meaning behind today's chaotic headlines. As a writer, I'm interested in topics ranging from labor struggles to transit breakthroughs to startups nobody asked for.
My prior work includes bylines on music and politics in Jacobin, Verso, and Blue Labyrinths, in addition to publishing sheet music and extensive copy editing work in the field of finance journalism.
I grew up in Michigan, attending Central Michigan University as well as Ball State University, where I earned a master of music in orchestral conducting. I now live in Brooklyn, New York, where I read, cook, and occasionally critique music with my cat, Ziti. On weekends, you can find me hunched over a cold pint arguing politics with the other transplants.
