"[I]t was not our intention to harass anyone."

Electric Sly

We've heard plenty of stories about internal combustion engine (I.C.E.) vehicles punking electric vehicles by blocking access to charging stations, a move called "ICEing."

But a group of Croatian Tesla owners just flipped the script, using their EVs to block access to gas pumps in a protest they dubbed "revenge of the electric car."

No Gas for You

According to a newly published Electrek story, the local Tesla Owners Club organized the protest, which also included non-Tesla EVs, to draw attention to the problem of ICEing at that particular gas station.

"This is how it looks when you have no other solution to emphasize the problem of blocking charging stations for EVs than to block gas station with electric vehicles," protestor Igor Kolovrat wrote alongside a video depicting the protest.

Revenge of the Electric Car! This is how it looks when you have no other solution to emphasize the problem of blocking charging stations for EVs than to block gas station with electric vehicles. The performance lasted 6 minutes and it was not our intention to harass anyone, but to point out the fact that electric vehicles are here, and their positive impact on society.

The protest lasted only six minutes, and as Kolovrat pointed out, the group wasn't trying actually get "revenge" on drivers of I.C.E. vehicles or the gas station itself.

"[It wasn't] our intention to harass anyone," he wrote, "but to point out the fact that electric vehicles are here, and their positive impact on society."
