"I guess I’d like to upload my consciousness, and then when it’s technologically possible, have my consciousness live in some kind of humanoid vessel that can speak and move freely, and then that body can go to Mars and other planets with my mind inside it."

Hard Sell

Renowned electronic musician and futurist Claire "Grimes" Boucher, who happens to be in a relationship with would-be planetary colonizer Elon Musk, revealed her own latest thoughts about space travel late last week during an appearance on YouTube.

As transcribed by Consequence of Sound, Boucher said she'd be down to move to Mars "after age 50."

"Manual labor until death most likely," she added in all caps, "but hopefully that can change."

Challenging Trip

This isn't the first time Grimes has weighed in on a trip to Mars, though it sounds as though her conviction about the journey is now firming up.

Earlier this year, an interview from The Face asked Boucher whether she'd rather go to Mars to upload her consciousness to the cloud.

"I would very much like to do both of these things," she said. "Like, these are the main things I’m trying to do."

"I guess I’d like to upload my consciousness, and then when it’s technologically possible, have my consciousness live in some kind of humanoid vessel that can speak and move freely, and then that body can go to Mars and other planets with my mind inside it," she concluded.
