ROBLOX is Now the Largest Social Virtual Reality Platform

The massively multiplayer online (MMO) game, ROBLOX, has now added virtual reality (VR) support for its popular social platform. The game boasts 20 million monthly users, 300,000 of which are regular contributors that provide user-created content.

The update effectively makes ROBLOX the world’s largest social VR platform to date, beating Facebook to the punch. ROBLOX will even feature cross-platform integration and allow all its users to interact with each other in one place.

ROBLOX CEO David Baszucki says “ROBLOX is now the largest social VR platform in the world in terms of user count, hours of engagement, simultaneous players and volume of content.”

“Together with our creators, we are providing the most immersive social experiences in the history of user-generated gaming. With VR, we are changing gaming and entertainment as a whole by bringing imagination to life.”

ROBLOX has great appeal as a learning and development platform for VR, where users can build an endless amount of VR assets and have access to millions of players to help test out their creations.
