Is the new Resident Evil game so scary that it will make you puke? Jessica Conditt of Engadget took the immersive experience for a test drive at E3. And she notes that the game is wonderful—the house is terrifying, claustrophobic, mysterious, everything you would expect from Resident Evil. Conditt also notes that the graphics are fantastically immersive.

However, there's a problem with the game...or rather, with VR. "I nearly tossed my cookies in the middle of Sony's media lounge," Condtt exclaims. Unfortunately, it was not fear that twisted her tummy, it was the dreaded tech-induced "VR sickness."

Conditt was live-streaming a play through of the new game from Capcom using the upcoming Playstation VR when she was overcome with feelings of fever and nausea. She says that she has played many games utilizing VR technology and has not experienced any symptoms tied with VR sickness until Resident Evil 7. Conditt speculated that the system's limited frame-rate of 60fps as a contributor of her discomfort.

Fortunately, The Mayo Clinic has started licensing tech to combat the sickness. So. Perhaps we can soon jump into a zombie apocalypse and feel the twinge of fear...not VR motion sickness.
