An augmented reality Pokemon game for smartphones will launch in 2016
- The game is called Pokemon Go, and it uses your phone’s camera to turn the everyday world into the world of Pokemon. When you scan an area, you’ll be able to see signals pointing you to where the nearest Pokemon are, and a Pokemon will sometimes run across your screen so you can catch it.
- The game will also have an optional Bluetooth wearable that will alert you to nearby Pokemon and give you a button to catch them without getting your phone out.
- The game will be free with in-app purchases. You’ll be able to trade Pokemon you’ve caught and even battle them. I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.
