Stay back, Creepers!

Ender Real Life

If you've been jonesing to try building, mining, and fighting Creepers in Minecraft with your own two hands, you're in luck! A group of developers using the name QuestCraft have released an unofficial port of Minecraft to the Meta Quest headset this week, along with instructions on how to download and install.

According to VR industry news outlet Road to VR, Minecraft was already available on every VR headset besides the Quest. If you've never seen Minecraft VR in action, VR Scout posted an excellent preview on YouTube to get you pumped about QuestCraft.

Hack and Slash

The only downside is that installation is a minor slog. You’ll need a copy of Minecraft Java Edition, but installing and playing it on Quest is free. Install SideQuest on your Quest headset and log in to your Microsoft account.

For full installation instructions and a helpful video tutorial, we'd recommend visiting the official QuestCraft site. The game also has decent reviews, with 3.8 stars out of 5 and 141 ratings so far.

"Incredible work. Well done team; this is really a great app. Haven't tested it too much, but the first few minutes were perfect," one user commented.

Go forth and craft, fellow nerds!
