In this video, the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences presents “The Egg.” It’s a video short from the 2011 BIOS Explorer program’s “Water Moves” series. Here, you can watch what happens when you crack open a raw egg 60 feet (20 meters) below the surface of the sea. It’s a little weird, I’m not going to lie. The cracked egg kind of looks like a strange little organism swishing about in the sea.
BIOS is an organization that is “committed to addressing pressing global issues in oceanography, marine conservation, and ocean health.” They maintain a portfolio of research activities that allow knowledge to be shared both locally and internationally. You can check them out here.
