Electric cars help to save the environment. Still, Swiss automobile manufacturer Rinspeed thinks it could do more, say by having an integrated garden plot right behind the windshield.

Introducing Oasis, Rinspeed's concept car of the future.

Okay, maybe environmentally friendly features aren't enough to call it the car of the future. Rinspeed agrees, because it features so much more. It's also autonomous, thanks to intelligent traffic management solutions from Siemens. Using NXP technology sensors to capture with pinpoint precision a 360° view of its surroundings. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication also allows it look around corners and obstacles, calculating the safest driving maneuvers.

Equipped with Harman LIVS technologies (life-enhancing intelligent vehicle solutions) the Oasis combines various social media capabilities spanning across its entire windshield. With its slightly-curved, 5K widescreen display users can interact with the Harman system using voice-or-gesture control.

The Oasis also integrates augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) applications in its navigation system, and is equipped with its own virtual assistant. Plus, it features rental, vehicle-share, and ride-sharing options — turning every ride into an authentic social experience.

This car combines everything that technology can offer to improve the driving or riding experience. Indeed, Rinspeed might've just given us a peak into the future of automobile technology.

If it isn't too much to ask, perhaps a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) version could be next?
