# This Kentucky Man Shot Down a Drone With a Shotgun. Was It Justified?

- The drone looks like a DJI Spreading wings S1000 professional drone, which retails for $1900. The drone's owners said they were flying it past the Kentucky man's property, not spying on him.
- But the Kentucky man says the drone was hovering over his backyard and cited privacy concerns: he wasn't sure whether it was taking video of him or his teenage daughter, or perhaps looking for something to steal.
