Mike Taylor took this amazing image in celebration of [Earth Day](<http://www.earthday.org/>) in 2013. According to Taylor himself, the shot was taken above [Sand Beach in Acadia National Park](<http://www.acadia.ws/sand-beach.htm>), with the Milky Way as a backdrop.

If you look look extra carefully, you can see starlight reflected from a tidal pool in the foreground, He also had the luck of capturing a fleeting meteor from the [Lyrid meteor shower](<http://www.spaceweather.com/meteors/lyrids/lyrids.html>).
