Santiago & Jerod Harris via Getty for Vox / Futurism\* ## Yessir Linda Yaccarino, the [punching bag]() Elon Musk hired to be CEO of X-formerly-Twitter, has reached new levels of [yes-manning]() in a leaked memo that seems to praise the bombastic billionaire for cursing onstage earlier this week. Shortly after Musk told X's advertisers-cum-haters to "[go fuck]()" themselves onstage at the *New York Times*' DealBook Summit following an [antisemitism mess]() he got himself into by tweeting, Yaccarino told staffers that the site owner was both "candid" and "profound," per the [internal message leaked to *CNBC*](). "He shared an unmatched and completely unvarnished perspective and vision for the future," the [onetime Donald Trump appointee]() wrote. "If you haven’t watched it, please take the time to absorb the magnitude and importance of what we’re all a part of." Using more conservative-speak, Yaccarino went on to laud X as "one of the most maverick companies in the world" and suggested that its [remaining staffers]() should feel proud to be part of the "one-of-a-kind constellation of companies that are changing the world," a reference to Musk's ownership portfolio. ## No Compromises "Our principles do not have a price tag, nor will they be compromised — ever," her note continued. "And no matter how hard they try, we will not be distracted by sideline critics who don’t understand our mission." Far be it from us to try to define what X's "principles" are, but it seems like they likely don't include, on paper at least, agreement with [antisemitic comments]() and [bogus partisan conspiracy theories](), both of which Musk has engaged in over recent weeks. Interestingly enough, Yaccarino's own principles seem very much to include brash loyalty to Musk for reasons we're not quite sure we understand. Indeed, she's apparently been fielding — and fending off — [text messages from concerned colleagues]() in the advertising world she used to occupy before taking over the X CEO role in which they're begging her to quit before it's too late. All the same, the [former NBCUniversal ad executive]() continues to [talk the talk publicly]() and semi-privately. "I’m immensely proud to lead this company," Yaccarino wrote, "with the passionate people and partners of the X community and most fortunately with all of YOU."
