## Some Toy Truck

At this point, it’s fair to call the Tesla Cybertruck one of the most anticipated cars in the modern history of automobiles. But if you didn’t get in on a pre-order, or simply can’t afford the $70,000 sticker price, there’s a new way for you to get in on the action: A [new, limited-edition Hot Wheels remote control Cybertruck](<https://forums.hotwheelscollectors.com/hwcblog/news/hot-wheels-rc-110-tesla-cybertruck/#articleJump>) that’ll only run you $100.

## Hotter Hot Wheels

The Hot Wheels R/C Cybertruck is a 1:10 scale version of Elon Musk’s pet pickup. Like the Cybertruck, it’s got a bed for you to move… very small objects around in, at speeds of up to 12 MPH. The remote control itself is designed to look like the Cybertruck wheel, and the truck has functioning headlights and taillights, with a battery charge that’ll take three hours to get to full power and last you about thirty minutes. It also comes with a free-rolling (i.e. not remote controlled) miniature [Cyberquad](<https://futurism.com/the-byte/elon-musk-yes-buy-tesla-cyberquad-atv>), modeled after Tesla’s forthcoming ATV, which is [slated to be](<https://electrek.co/2020/09/22/tesla-roadster-cybertruck-prototypes-and-more-to-battery-day-photo-gallery/>) an optional accessory in future Cybertruck sales.

## The Tesla Experience, As Ever

This isn’t the first time Mattel has rolled out a remote controlled Cybertruck. Last year, they announced two models, a 1:64 scale replica (which went for $20) and a 1:10 scale replica (which went for $400). Just like real Teslas, they’ve already gotten cheaper — and also, were significantly delayed, with many R/C Cybertruck buyers [not getting their own Micro MuskMachines in time for the Christmas holiday season](<https://futurism.com/the-byte/toy-cybertrucks-delivered-too-late-christmas>).

Maybe they’ll have better luck with the new edition, which seems to be cooler, cheaper, and in more plentiful supply. Customers can buy up to two R/C Cybertrucks each, at a maximum of five per household. They go on sale on May 21st, and are expected to ship in September — though, again, if buying a small Tesla is anything like buying the real deal, expect to see it in March 2022, unless you’ve [just won a UFC fight](<https://futurism.com/ufc-fighter-elon-musk-tesla>), in which case, you might be able to get it a little sooner.
