## Plugged In

Ferrari's newly unveiled [SF90 Stradale](<https://corporate.ferrari.com/en/ferrari-sf90-stradale-new-series-production-supercar>) can go from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) in 2.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 339 kph (211 mph), and 986 horsepower makes it the most powerful production car the company has ever released.

It's also the company's first plug-in hybrid — another encouraging sign that luxury carmakers are [starting to embrace](<https://futurism.com/highest-performance-porsche-911-hybrid>) electric vehicles.

## It's (Partly) Electric

According to a Ferrari [press release](<https://corporate.ferrari.com/en/ferrari-sf90-stradale-new-series-production-supercar>), the SF90 Stradale features a trio of electric motors, two in the front and one near the rear.

The car won't get terribly far in all-electric mode, though — just 24 kilometers (15 miles) — so drivers will likely opt to use the vehicle in hybrid mode, relying on the car's electric motors as well as its gasoline engine.

## Start Saving

Ferrari has yet to share details on exactly when the SF90 Stradale will be available for purchase, but *CNN* [reports](<https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/29/success/ferrari-hybrid/index.html>) that the first vehicles will be delivered at the beginning of 2020.

The cost of the car is also unknown, but given that it's a Ferrari, a price in the six- or seven-figure range wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.
