"It truly felt like a glimpse into the future of interactive entertainment," wrote Nick Statt for *The Verge, "*where the worlds of gaming, music, and celebrity combined to create a virtual experience we’ve never quite seen before. ## I'm Flossing Marshmello, known for hits including "[Alone]()" and "[Happier]()" — and, to be completely real, performing in a [giant marshmallow helmet]() — tweeted that the event had "made history." But it wasn't the first time musical artists have performed in a virtual environment. New wave band Duran Duran, for instance, has [made live appearances]() in "Second Life."
