Back before Tesla became the behemoth in the field, the area of fashionable hybrid and eco-friendly cars was rather bare. But there was one concept car that everyone anticipated: the Fisker Karma. Designed by the Henry Fisker, who worked on the BMW Z8 and Aston Martin DB9, it was to be the alternative energy car.

But many missed deadlines and production rushes later, the released Karma fell way below standards, the company filed for bankruptcy, and was gobbled up by Chinese giant, Wanxiang.

But now, the Fisker Karms is staging a comeback, big time. The Karma Automotive company has revealed a revival of the electric Fisker Karma to be released in about a month's time. Don't believe us? See the countdown yourself.

The reborn car is sporting many upgrades without losing the aesthetic beauty of the original. The Wall Street Journal reports that the car will be sporting vehicle control and charging systems from BMW, along with a solar roof that will help charge it.  A press release also states that the car will have upgrades to electronics systems, wiring, charging, and the battery.

So, what would you pick? Tesla or Karma?
