# Soylent 2.0 Comes Pre-Bottled to Make the Liquid Food More Convenient

- The key difference between the first version of Soylent this newest version is this one requires no assembly: it's ready to drink out of the bottle and comes in liquid form, not as a powder. According to the company, half of the fat in Soylent 2.0 is generated from algae. The flavor is slightly changed as well.
- Soylent recommends you drink 5 bottles a day, which means that if you're on the Soylent meal plan, your daily repast will cost $12, which is a tad more expensive than powdered Soylent.
- It's a logical move -- Soylent wanted to be sold in stores, and bottling the gruel-like food substitute was a logical move towards that path. But for now, Soylent 2.0 is only sold online.
