Why do you think so?

It is not only the technology that needs to be perfected but the since the robots must be mass produced they need to be affordable. They also need to be mentally accepted since they will in people's houses which means we must educate the young generation about robots and technology. All of this takes time which is why I think it will not happen before 2030's.

Now a days we have capable of making robots. We already build up technology like gesture and augmented reality that could help us to meant machine that what we want. That's mean we create new ways to communicate with machine. We already buildup "Smart House'. I don't believe that robot only can be human form. Total house could be Robot. The term of "Humanoid Robot" is sometimes unnecessary i think. So 2030s the decade for robots in every wealthy home.

I agree with the fact that advanced human-machine interfacing will be implemented in mass-scale across the globe for personal use, however, I do not believe that they will be implemented in every home, simply for the fact that our current societies would make it almost impossible. I also do not believe that the robots will be humanoid in nature. The Human Body is incredulously inefficient, and when sharing a workspace with several other actual humans, a humanoid robot would only get in the way. With that in mind, I do believe that robots (both humanoid and non) will be implemented for personal use, at least for the upper class members of society.

The first thing that needs to happen is perfect the technology. We cannot have defective robots in our homes that could cause us and our other properties harm. Another aspect of the technology is the possibility that these robots could potentially become self aware and our morals concerning slavery will need to be considered. So let's say we perfect the technology where we know they won't blow up in our face or malfunction and choke us in our sleep, we have an entire generation that has grown up watching movies like iRobot and the Terminator where these machines rise up and kill the humans. We will need the current generation to be older and less fearful of the AI's to get them into every home.
