- Currently, when you step in to Oculus Cinema, you're immersed in a virtual empty theatre. But Oculus always wanted to make Oculus Cinema as close to possible to the real experience.
- Luckey told Road to VR that Oculus Cinema will get "multiplayer" features in the coming months, including avatars, and "remote multiplayer functionality." You'll be able to catch a flick with your buddy even if they're hundreds of miles away, provided you both have Oculus Rift headsets.
- Making VR more social is important: when the headset goes on, you're cut off from the real world, but not necessarily the internet. I'm sure that Facebook too wants Oculus to have a strong social component. The consumer version of Oculus Rift is expected to hit shelves in 2016.
