Earth: The Pale Blue Dot – Glacier National Park’s Triple Waterfall

This wonderful photo was chosen for the photo of the day on January 20, 2013 on Earthshots.org, and it’s very easy to see why. Photographer Alex Noriega, who is a landscape photographer based in Portland, perfectly captures the scenery of Glacier National Park’s Triple Waterfall in Montana, USA, where roughly 200 waterfalls can be seen.

Perhaps the most astonishing aspect of this image is that Alex was able to not only capture the spirit of the falls themselves, but the rising moon and the morning twilight as well, with some clouds billowing out into the distant night sky.
