  • It's simple for the user -- simply take a video "selfie" and a couple of other photos, and load them into the software, which will take care of every detail including things like face wrinkles. It also takes care of animations like smiling. One thing it can't handle yet? Hair.
  • The applications for a technology like this in gaming and virtual reality is clear: Instead of generating cartoony avatars, like Nintendo's Mii, you can create a high-quality representation of yourself to use in virtual worlds.
