Meet NGC 1232: a fascinating spiral galaxy located approximately 70 million light-years from Earth toward the constellation of Eridanus. Some of its character is the result of a companion galaxy (located to the upper-left), known simply as NGC 1232A. From afar, it bears resemblance to theta: a Greek letter.
