Startup Vixole Inc. has released a video of what would be their first product: Vixole Matrix, which they describe as: “the world’s first customizable e-sneaker with a built-in display.”

Lights on sneakers are highly reminiscent of the 90’s, but nostalgia isn’t the main purpose the Vixole Matrix set out to do. The sneakers would be synchronizable with certain AR and VR games on your phone, such as Pokémon Go, and it would not only complement the physically active nature of the game, it would actually vibrate and light up when there are Pokémon in close proximity.

Not a lot of detail is available as of now, so we’re all going to have to wait and see until their Kickstarter campaign launches in September. But early birds have a chance at winning a free pair by subscribing to their mailing list.
